Akulon® K225-KS

Flame Retardant (halogen free), Heat Stabilized

General Information

Akulon® is our family of high performance polyamide 6 and polyamide 66 materials, used by customers across the world in applications ranging from automotive, electronics & electrical, to furniture and packaging.
We offer Akulon® grades for injection molding, blow molding and extrusion (including barrier film, stock shapes, convoluted tubes, and mono and multi filament).
In molded parts the material offers an excellent balance of easy design and processing with outstanding mechanical properties over a wide temperature range and in diverse conditions. Meanwhile for extrusion the strength, resilience and easy processing of Akulon® sets the market standards.

Applications

Contactors

Industry
Electrical
Most grades are available with halogenfree flameretardancy, and in specific electro-grey colour for housings. Also Lasermarkable grades are available. ForTii® has a Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT) of 305°C .}

Fuse holder

Industry
Electrical
The fuse holder is a vital element in LVSG that protects different electrical loads against short circuit current. The application houses the fuse and facilitates easy assembly or replacement. Herein, the thermoplastic materials from Envalior Engineering Materials offer an advantage over traditional materials.}
